Here are some summer events you can enjoy with your family until the next season comes.
Distillery Tours and Spirit Tastings at J.J. Pfister Distilling
If you’re into spirits and cocktails, J.J. Pfister Distilling Company will give you a taste of their traditional, organically grown, hand-crafted, and sustainably distilled products.
The company offers $5 distillery tours and spirit tastings to the public, and it comes for free if you buy one bottle.
In the tour, you get to visit J.J. Pfister Distilling’s 2,000-square foot Tasting Room and even enjoy their products in tastings and cocktails.
The award-winning products you can taste are Capitol Gin, Potato Vodka, and Drakos. You get to also try out its new releases Apple Brandy and Navy Strength Rum.
J.J. Pfister Distilling also boasts of the Tasting Room’s bartender, Dru Black, who will showcase his creative cocktail creations.
Tours and tasting are from 4pm-7pm on Fridays, 2pm-7pm on Saturdays, and 2pm-5pm on Sundays at J.J. Pfister Distilling Co., 9819 Business Park Drive, Sacramento, CA.

Rancho Cordova’s Summer Concert Series
It may be midway through August but Rancho Cordova still has some events up its sleeves. Fun and music are abound 7 pm of every Friday this month in the Village Green Park.
Listen in and party with Big Crush on August 16, Popular Demand on August 23, and Take 2 Band on August 30. Apart from great music, enjoy treats from food trucks and more for a fun-filled night!
The best thing about this event is it’s free!

Brushes & Brews
Enjoy fine art, great beer, live music and food trucks in at Brushes & Brews, Rancho Cordova’s fun exhibit and sale of fine art by local artists.
With a tagline “beauty is in the eyes of the beer-holder,” fill your afternoon with a bounty of locally-produced art and plenty of beer as you stroll along the brewery to see hundreds of works by local artists.
Complete your afternoon with a dose of great music and food from food trucks.
Brushes & Brews will be held on August 24, 2 pm to 6pm at the Ol’ Republic Brewery. Admission is FREE.

Race for the Art
Looking for an activity that would get your body moving? On August 24, the 21st annual Race for the Arts: 5k fun run/walk will be held to raise funds and awareness for more than 215 California nonprofits and school arts organizations.
That’s not all. After the walk/run, have fun at the a free arts festival with 40+ hands-on booths, great food, and stage performances.
The event will be held at William Land Park 3800 W Land Park Dr. Sacramento, CA.
